Hi I have noticed over the last couple of months that my boyfriend was not interested in sex. Maybe had sex like 4 times in a couple of months. I brought it up in conversation a few times but he always avoided it. I couldn't understand why he was so distant with sex. He finally told me today. He informed me that he noticed a smell from my area and it would turn him off. I feel slightly embarrassed and upset. I'm not upset with him, just the situation. I do wish he told me sooner though. Has anyone been through similar or know what I can do please. I just feel a bit lost now. Both in our late 20's

Make sure you see a doctor if there is an odor coming from 'downstairs' that isn't typical for you. If that is the only reason why sex has not been happening, then it can likely be fixed with proper treatment. No shame in it.. it happens sometimes.

However, if he's just turned off by your natural scents (not sure if it's a natural one or an infection).. then.. well... not sure there's as much of a solution for that. All you can do is be sure to rinse off prior to sex maybe to see if it helps. Otherwise, I would just take that to mean you two are maybe not sexually compatible.

Have to say I agree with the above. Get a check up so you know its not an infection , make sure you rinse before any intimacy but dont get tricked into using products on your intimate area they can cause more harm than good.

Cotton underwear and avoiding nylon pantyhose is a good idea and maybe after showering avoid wearing any underwear if youre not going out. All these can help stop sweaty smells.
