Wow...you say old to new in a whole different concept to my idea of old.
I love the songs of Edith Piaf
Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Bobby Darin,and Doris Day..
Then there's great sounds of Motown,
Rock and roll I mean who doesn't appreciate a bit of Elvis or the Rolling Stones?
Old school reggae those record labels like Trojan that you don't see anymore Bob Marley always gets me on my feet, and there was the music of madness, the specials, selector brilliant, In 1980 I saw Blondie in concert one week and the following week was Madness that was just fantastic..
Then there is the 80s pop that just makes me want to jump the whole Yazz, duran duran and Wham and all that happy just party stuff.
Techno.. when that came in.. that beat that bass that endless rhythm and energy brilliant..
Amy Winehouse a girl who sang from her own pain and her own experiences also brilliant..
There are too many styles too many people too many brilliant sounds and it just keeps coming music is fantastic I don't stick to a certain genre or time or artist, my music list is completely mixed up with all of those things I mentioned and many many more. I really think that sticking to one kind of music one style or one artist just means you are limiting yourself to sounds that could open up whole New world.
