My nails are sort of medium. Far too long for playing the guitar, which I used to and remember always having to cut them, but not long. I do too much in the garden to have long nails. I could wear gloves but never think about it so they do get worn and, with solvents, brittle after a while so split or chip. I do moisturise regularly and occasionally use nail oil so get by as my nails are strong.
I do like longer nails, it's just I have a semi physical job and they break, split and crack all the time and it looks so silly having three or four nice nails on one hand and the others short and split haha.
If it's a special occasion, glue on nails are really a lifesaver
I came across multiple photos I'd taken in the past when I painted my nails, and it made me want pretty nails again. I'm not sure how to take great photos of the results, but here's Pep Plum this morning, before chips started happening. Picture Jazzy Jade on the left index finger because it somehow ended up without any polish before suppertime. (Hope there's no polish in any food I made!)
Already thinking that a manicure might be less expensive and time-saving than repairing over and over. Thoughts?
Probably lol I painted my own nails for my friend's wedding, and the amount of times I re-did it was such a waste of time... and the result was never perfect, but it was good enough if nobody stared. I probably should have found a salon instead to get it done quickly, but I didn't know of where to go in a pinch lol
