Sleepy. I woke up with only 30 minutes to spare before I had to start work.. I couldn't sleep well last night for some reason, maybe in anticipation of the return to work.
I have fibromyalgia and arthritis it flares up from time to time...
Are they curable, Cassie? Hope they don't happen too often.
No cure. If or rather when it gets really bad there are medications that will help. But exercise and good diet are also key to keeping it under control. Im always in some pain but most days its just low level aches. Its just that every now and then my body pulls a surprise on me and gives me a new ache to deal with.
Shattered and it's only lunchtime. I've walked the dogs, made the bread and taken a car load of stuff to the storage locker. I'm now waiting outside the vet with my daughter and her cat, after that I'm taking my elderly friend to the hairdresser then walk the dogs again , then deliver a miniature freezer to somebody in town poor kid wanted to buy it but she has no transport and asked if she could carry it so I said as she only lives 5 minutes away I'll drive it over to her no extra cost... After all of that have dinner, walk the dogs again and collapse into bed!
Well I got everything done yesterday my fiorends hair looks nice and she was happy . The student who bought our little freezer was thankful and happy. My daughter was grateful for the lift to the vet but not happy with the outcome/diagnoses. So Im taking her to my vet this afternoon for a second opinion.
Ive already walked the dogs and helped OH take a car load of stuff to the recycling center. In an hour we will walk the dogs again then I go to my friend to pick up her shopping list and her bags for tomorrow then off to the vet home for dinner, walk the dogs again and bed!

There is no pleasure in the practical part of house moving....
Feeling a little better today after checking on some what if's. I tend to worry since this past year has been so stressful. I try to do things to put my mind at ease to help me stay calm till this time passes. I was concerned that if I got Covid now that it would put my new job in jeopardy. I got word that it will be ok.
My ER bill wasn't bad. I put it on the credit card.
The mail delivery people are so busy on their cell phones they aren't paying attn. when they deliver the mail so they're delivering it to the neighbors. Me and the lady next door are both Mary's and the lady across the street is at 821 and I'm 812. It's a postal frickin nightmare.

Otherwise fairly calm today.
I got mail for #20 recently, but I'm at #21. I delivered it to the correct box and hope that it was just the really cold day to blame for the lack of attention to numbers - a postal employee should know the difference between 20 and 21, and the house numbers are quite easy to see...
I feel sorry for the mailman, he has to walk through my long drive way to get to the mailbox. The mailbox is in a good location for us but I don't mind moving it to the curb side to make it easier for him. I checked with the city, they said NO, leave it where it is. At least, I have no dogs barking at him.

That surprises me. All mail boxes are the property of the US Postal Service and are regulated by them.

I wish the city had less power. Their trees on the sidewalk made such a mess on my front lawn, I told them to chop off a few branches and they refused as well.

You mean you did not own your mailbox?
No one does Annie. You may buy it and put it up but once the USPS accepts it by putting mail in it they essentially own it. Although you are responsible for maintaining it. All US mail is owned by the federal government from when you mail it until you pick it up.
Once installed, they're owned by the federal government.
OMG what a cheek...
We, mostly, just have letterboxes.
It had me wondering, but I suppose it is somewhat similar to our wheelie bins. I suppose they are owned by the council even though they are on our property but I think they are resonsible for replacement unless you don't take care of them. My thoughts on mailboxes are that they would likely attract abuse and theft in many places.

Over here in the uk, all our newspapers get put through our letterboxes too. It looks so weird when I see usa filsm showing your paperboys randomly throwing newspapers at your houses, as they cycle past.

Cherry, nothing is supposed to be put in our mailboxes by anyone except a postal carrier. So for newspapers you either need a tube to put it in or the toss to the driveway like you said.

Your doors have no letterboxes at all?
Are you talking about the little slot that is in your front door? If so I am not sure if they use that system anymore.
