Still feeling a bit crummy from yesterday (posted in tell us about your day thread).
I did get my lab results, and I am starting to go hypo, so I am going to alternate a lower dose with my normal dose for a bit. I don't want to swing hyper again.. so I want to be very slow about the changes. Doctors always make me rush and halve my dosage across the board, which doesn't work well for me once I'm on the lower dosages. I keep telling them this is the case, and they don't listen and try to do what they've always done instead I wish I could find a physician that listens to me.. I've had this disease longer than some of them have been treating it lol

I hear you. Ive been fairly stable with both weight and energy levels but anytime I see any GP about anything they mention my thyroid meds and I give them a flat No..
No messing about, no lets try, no we could lower that .. I am the expert on how I feel and feeling human is important to me, mess with my meds and I risk feeling like a zombie. So only an endocrinologist gets to talk about thyroid meds with me.

Unfortunately for me, it's also the endocrinologists that don't listen. They push for surgeries and then want to dump you off on your primary physician afterward. I've still been fighting to stay on a low dose of methimazole for as long as I can before cutting this bad boy out because I am not ready to open up a can of new worms until I have no choice lol
Try saying what she wrote out loud, then with the added commas?
I wonder if Jen meant, "wide-eyed."
Is this an English lesson ? I failed miserably. Hey a_muppet, I did what you said. I got more confused I started thinking around that "fairly wide," you know
So, because I don't trust my conversational English, I asked AI to distinguish between these two sentences.
"I am fairly wide awake this morning."
This sentence means that the speaker feels quite awake or alert early in the day. "Wide awake" is an idiomatic expression meaning fully awake or very alert. The word "fairly" indicates that the level of wakefulness is moderate, not extremely awake but definitely not sleepy.
"I'm fairly wide, and awake, this morning."
This sentence is a bit more fragmented and less common in its structure. However, it can still convey a similar meaning. "Fairly wide" could imply feeling quite awake or alert, possibly emphasizing a broad awareness or readiness. The commas around "and awake" separate the two states ("wide" and "awake"), which may suggest a nuanced emphasis on both mental and physical readiness.
Okay, maybe this is too much on a syntax discussion So, Cherry can you just please tell the answer?

My original sounds right for what I as thinking as the explanation given was what I meant. Cherry's reply, I did sort of get but was not the way I would normally put it. "I'm fairly wide" did prompt me toward thinking of another meaning which is in the realms of possibility here (A Cherry cryptic joke? ): en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wide_boy
This all does remind me of a guy who liked me at college. He often used to respond to my jokes "Too dry for me, sorry."
Being me, I had to step up, and I started just saying anything obtuse, and smiling. It wasn't difficult looking at his puzzling. He never worked it out, and always felt I was that little bit too dry for him.
Or perhaps, he was way too dry for me.
