I'm not suggesting any of you guys have B.O but how important is your personal hygiene to you? Do you wash yourself out of duty or do you enjoy your showers and baths?
I have been showering and having baths forever. I LOVE washing myself and using soap. I have been showering daily for nearly 25 years. Before that I'd bathe regularly. I really love beauty products and soap in general.
Do you have your favourite soap or bubblebath or shampoo or shower gel?
I'm a dirty cow.. I can honestly say haven't had a bath in over 30 years lol.. I don't like baths they make me seasick. So I stick to my shower, it's a very nice one with one of those rainforest deluge head things so you get properly totally soaked.
As regards products I'm sorry I'm boring because my skin reacts to everything I have to be extremely careful and I only use a sensitive skin soap and sensitive skin shampoo. I do have conditioner which I use occasionally on my hair I don't even know the name of it but I'm not allergic to it and that's what's important.. Certain products including one that sounds like a pigeon bring me up in incredibly bad hives and make me itch like a monkey with a thousand fleas.
I don't take baths, but I shower. I used to shower every single day, but lately I actually have been skipping days out of pure exhaustion, but I make sure to rinse or wipe my armpits and "delicate areas" when not showering. A whore bath lol I feel it makes my skin not dry out as much when I don't shower my entire body all the time... but I do wonder if showering daily helps with my mood because I enjoy nice, long, hot showers otherwise. I just wish I had more energy.
I tend to wash all over at least twice a day. Once is just with plain water and the other is actually with foaming facewash rather than anything too extreme, and tend to use it sparingly. I don't have dry skin, as such, but it is sensitive so I have to be careful.
I use natural soaps when I do use soaps. Anything that would be gentle and not irritate my skin. Mostly on the smelly parts lol plain water and scrubbing doesn't do enough.
Such a small selection of women and yet such a huge variety of answers to this simple question. It just goes to show that there is no one-size-fits-all in any situation.

I do like having my shower in the morning and starting the day freshly cleaned, but when you have kids who are likely to start a civil war while you're in the bathroom and they wake up earlier than you... LOL So, I shower after the older boys go to bed, and get a little extra time to relax if I just do that every other day. (A bit more TV time or more reading time on a non-shower day!)
I usually find a shower quite relaxing, so it would be nice to be able to do every day. I do use lotion right afterwards to make sure I'm not drying out my skin. I think both my favourite body wash and the lotion have shea butter in them. Feels like I'm getting pampered!
We'll see if my new shampoo and conditioner means I won't be washing every day - I changed to a volume boost formula, and that might make my hair happier for longer. I'll still wash in the morning so I don't waste all the best behaviour of my hair on my dreamtime.
