We enjoyed Music Choice's "Sound of the Seasons" this weekend, the feature was "Independence Day". I turned it on this morning for a bit before I left for work, expecting to see some more of it, but the feature today, and for the rest of the month, is "Christmas in July". How cute! BUT, that just pointed out how quickly the year has gone. Additionally, for us, Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend are the brutal summer months. We're now a third of the way through that, and just a bit closer to cooler weather.
Does anything come to mind that you are looking forward to cooler weather for?

I live in the uk. I would need a bad bump on the head to look forward to cooler weather.
Towards the end of every winter, I find myself longing for when it will be nice enough that I can wear a sundress and a pair of sandals or sandalette heels, WITHOUT hose. This summer, being how intensely hot and humid that it has been, I'm actually looking forward to autumn, which will bring weather that I can wear hose again. Not so much that I'm looking forward to wearing hose again (haven't worn them since early May), which can sometimes be a chore, but looking forward to having the option.
Here in the Uk weather can change so much that you could sensibly wear a summer dress and a winter coat in the same week
You're right there, jen.
I am wearing a dress today: yesterday I wore a pair of trousers. One day it's cold, the next it's hot. One minute it's raining, the next it's sunny. The British weather can't make up its mind.
However, I like Britain and have gotten used - although I was born here - to the weather. It is just normal to my perspective. England is a wonderful country, full of fine Englishmen: and people of other religions and ethnicity. There is so much colour in this country now: and that is wonderful.

I was at car boot sale and a stall holder's response was very indicative of our country's weather.
"I am fine, thanks. But this weather? So far I have taken my cardi off, put it back on, off and on again, and now I am regretting not bringing a jacket!"
I like all the seasons but living in Florida I really like the winter. Most days in the upper 70s to the lower 80s. it's about perfect.
That is how NC is for like half the year... in the 60s-70s in fall and spring (some days above or below)... But we still also drop down much lower in the winter lol
You want winter, you come to Canada! At least it's pretty mild in my area for winter temps - I lived in the Maritime provinces for several years and the Fredericton part included -40C. Booo. Here, not so bad, usually -10C at the lowest. Sometimes we run out of places to put the snow we've shoveled from our parking spot, but that's not a huge hardship...
I like spring and fall the most because the temperatures are comfortable. Bundling up in winter is kinda fun, too, especially if you've an excuse to have a hot beverage and a cosy spot to read indoors!

I used to live in New Hampshire and -20F wasn't uncommon. Neither was the 200 inches of snow a year either.

I do envy you your personal size snow machines. They look like fun.
