Big Ben - it's a common misconception that it;s the clock or the tower, when it's the bell! I always thought it was the clock, well I did until a year or so again when I heard it at a pub quiz

I am getting my second wind for this afternoon lol. I was out and about fairly early this morning as I could't manage to logon at my usual time so I went for a quick bicycle ride, calling in at the book exchange. Then I sorted a few things in the garden and mowed the lawn. After that I cooked lunch. Now to fill the afternoon

Today has been an experience! We started this morning with the doctor who phoned to talk to my husband on behalf of the DWP uk..
She was actually very nice and agreed this is total lunacy. But she said because they have an agreement with the UK and other European countries they have to ask.
She has assured me she has ticked all the boxes they need to be satisfied that his dementia has not gone away.

This evening we went to see the house with the dreadful wallpaper. It really was as dreadful as it looked on the photos. Due to the building of walls and partitions it was like a doll's house with tiny little rooms.

And smell! Strong tobacco awful old coffee and upstairs the smell of very sweaty bodies and old sheets.
But the nail in the coffin was the garden chalet. It had a lovely roof made of asbestos plates...

This is not a house we will make an offer on. Although I must say the area and the village itself was beautiful.

I have been on the phone all afternoon:

1. Ordering a cheque book from my bank
2. Changing the dates of my energy bills
3. Getting my council tax payments in order
4. Being on Internet Banking all afternoon, too
5. Sorting all this with the help of my dad on the telephone

I have also had my daily shower/have put on a load of laundry/am airing out my apartment/am browsing the Internet.

Phew! I keep busy.

Oh knickers.. Im feeling frustrated on his behalf...

I had another lovely afternoon with our art group yesterday. We didn't get a lot done though as it was more chattering than art

I've cleaned my bathroom and kitchen. I washed a load of laundry, too. I also hoovered.

I am just online now, browsing various sites.

I know, we were anxious to see how everything is progressing and if he can go to the next level of his therapy.

Making sure the house was perfect for the people who came to view this afternoon.

All very positive one man got very excited! But one couple were not sure, because they wanted an open kitchen and they weren't sure about having neighbours... You have to wonder why they made an appointment to view a corner house then. It was obvious from the photos that we have neighbours and that we have a closed kitchen.

But the estate agent himself said he had very good vibes from at least two couples. Monday afternoon comes the next lot..

I have painted my nails black this morning. I also drank my caffetterie coffe and had my daily shower. I took out the rubbish & recycling, am airing out my apartment and put on a quick load of laundry.

I keep busy.

Dug out a small leylandii bush that was losing it's colour, probably dieing.

It's all straightened out now and he does have an appointment for 11 tomorrow morning. It was one of those I thought the other person did it things.
