I got my Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys collection in a box this afternoon. Turns out it didn't need a very big box, but it'll do. I'll label that one so we can find it easily if anyone feels like nostalgic mysteries for kids, and it'll go in the closet soon. Then I'll have more room on the bookshelf for all the "strays" I bring home.
While I was at it, the non-fiction books went into a storage bin as well, to join the others I put away a few weekends ago. Now I just have a handful of books left out in my room, plus my e-reader for more reading material. I can dig into the bins if needed before the renovations, but I probably won't need to do so, as long as the wait isn't long!

I LOVE Nancy Drew. In fact, I collect Nancy Drew books.
I absolutely loved reading Nancy Drew in the school library. Such wonderful memories. I'll never forget that time. I'd read "Mystery At The Ski Jump" and "The Clue In The Old Stagecoach" with awe and excitement. I also got into Christopher Pike at that time. The first of his I read was "Whisper Of Death". I cried hard at that book.
I took one of the books I have back to the book exchange yesterday. I am having a bit of a clearout and am returning, one by one, the books I have read and those I picked up but never got round to reading. Luckily none there have taken my fancy recently so my pile is diminishing. There are still quite a few to read though lol
A little shopping on the way to art group. I just got some butter, paracetomol and a few tins of sardines lol. I looked at the clothes in the supermarket but nothing too my fancy
Some greedy idiot wants to sue us so I hired a lawyer today. The fight just started.
This used to happen in the nhs, and it can drag on for years. I had half of a filing cabinet drawer of them, and only one got resolved in the years I was there, and most of them pre-dated me.
Though, thinking about it, half a drawer was only five files. Solicitors max out their fees with constant letters and background information.

This is a personal matter, not work related Cherry. The third tier lawyer they hired sent us an extortion letter with mispellings all over and gave me a deadline to response. The deadline was yesterday, like I care.

Sorry to hear that. Dealing with antagonism is never pleasant and when it comes through third parties, it is even less so.

Best wishes, for a positive and quick resolution.
Thanks Cherry, I know he will try to get as much from us as he can but there is him and there are 5 of us, my sisters and my brothers besides me. We each will file a separate counter lawsuit, this type of lawyer will charge at least $500-$750/hr. He will regret his action very soon. I am not a litigious person but I hate dealing with this kind of people.

I often think that everyone loses, except for the lawer, in these sort of things. They irritate me too as I know the best answer is to really get moving and stack up a mountain of good evidence. I hope it is sorted well for you too
My doctor wanted blood taken to check my rheumatic levels. When I got there the assistant said oh I'm not sure if it would check the rheumatic factor. So I told her if you're not going to do it there's no point in taking blood the other things were just standard check up it's the rheumatic factor that is the important one. Blasted bureaucrats, all because there wasn't a particular box ticked by the computer. My doctor wrote it in by hand but apparently that's not acceptable anymore.

This afternoon I have cleaned my bathroom and kitchen, as is usual for me. I'm not going out today, due to stormy weather: it looks like thunder and lightning is about to hit.
Anyhow, I have eaten my lunch and am browsing the Internet.

I've had similar before. On one occasion I had blood tests but they didn't put my date of birth or something on the label so they had to do it all again as the hospital refused them.
Some greedy idiot wants to sue us so I hired a lawyer today. The fight just started.
On no Annie. I'm hoping all goes well for you.
We now have three lawyers on the team, need at least one more and the other side still got a subscription lawyer. I am in this line of work long enough that I can tell when people are just bluffing.
Walked the dogs did some laundry ... Did some gardening and then got the call that mum is back in hospital the infection is now in both feet she's been passing out and was incoherent..
