I hope you are ok. OMG if only all drivers were as responsible as you the world would be a much better place
When my car was totalled in a crash 100% the other guys fault. I was left with no car and not even an apology. Accidents happen but the trend to accept no blame and offer no apology is shameful. You have acted in a really decent and caring manner..xxx hugs
Yes, the kid that hit me asked me if I was drunk...
That was so blatant, I hope you made him or his parents pay for that.
That sounds fairly normal, and was simply a symptom of shock imo.
Your adrenaline carried you through initially, Annie, now that has worn off, the aches are kicking in. I was the same.
I expect you are being kept awake by the 'what if's' of the crash, and it is running through your mind.
It's done. Finished. All that is left now is the inconvenience, and the paperwork. Just reflect that you are both fit and well.
I agree. It's the shock.
It seems hard but I found the best way to go is to sort all the paperwork and let things take their course. Try to keep emotion out of things. The 'what if's' really are a worry but they are not anything under control so concentrate on the 'sort it' for the things you can do. There will be all manner of worries that will go through your mind over the next few days. The more organised you are the less you may worry about, but don't push yourself too hard.
I too am glad that you are both OK
Thanks Jen, I am as fine as it could be, but I will definitely call Leticia (the other party) today. I still feel terrible for causing such an inconvenience to someone else. Her teary face will haunt me for a very long time.
My friend's brother in law passed away he was 92. I was at his 90th birthday party...
I knew my friend dearly wanted to be at the funeral so Ive spoken to OH and he will be ok alone for a couple ofdays.
I let her know this afternoon that we can go. Lots to arrange but she was so happy to be able to phone her niece and tell her tatte is coming. Its a 400km drive. We leave Monday..
I hope everything will go smoothly Cassie, may his soul will rest in peace.

He was insured. The company paid out ok. It was a simple case. I hit him broadside, and the only way that was possible, was him puling out on me. Besides that, there were three witnesses.
I am seriously feeling the impact now, sore every where, I can't sleep but I should not take sleeping pill.
I still can't forget her teary face. She was a grown woman at 46, I don't know what went through her mind.
I hope you feel better soon, Annie. I'm glad you offered to help her in any way you can.
The other woman has a right to be upset (crying)...as does anyone at any time. She could have been on her way to very important appointment, or she was already in a bad state before the accident (the straw that broke the camel's back, as it were).
Well this morning we will be shifting at least 2 tons of sand because the bags are standing on the front lawn. The rest can be done tomorrow but I dont want the grass to die off..
I started off the morning by pruning the larger fig tree and a little of the apple tree. I got the fig done but I can see the apple will take a morning. I didn't overdo it and left the apple for another day. Next it was on to pampering then relax for the rest of the day. That is except for the washing which needs putting on tonight for hanging out in the morning

Building a beach?
Don't forget to do back stretching exercises before you go to bed.

Isn't it too late to prune an apple? Ours are already forming....

I think it's a winterberry tree in front of my kitchen window, and I would definitely have thought it was too late to prune, but it happened this past week. Looks so different! Since I know nothing about pruning, it looks like the job was overdone. Ah well, I'm not paying for the service!

Maybe, but I read sowhere last year that if you prune in winter you get loads of skyward shoots whereas if you do so in summer you don't. As it is the skyward shoots that are causing the problem with mine.
A bit of a slow start, but that's good for easing into a new week after Shabbat rest! I'm going for groceries shortly, then the kiddos will be back for lunch. (Not sure if I mentioned yet, but there was a road closure here after an accident, so the kids didn't go Friday evening to Saturday afternoon as usual - instead, it was Saturday morning till Sunday midday. Interesting change in the schedule!)

I ate my lunch at my dad's house. I also prepared my sister's work salad. I helped my dad prepare dinner as well: I peeled and diced all the vegetables. I prepared the Yorkshire Puddings, too. I helped my sister with the laundry and spent time with the four cats.
Just driving for me . 400 km to Attendorn famous for its cave.Although we are here for the funeral . I was here 27 years ago and its changed a lot since then.
I hope i get a chance to walk tomorrow morning. I feel odd without a walk .
I did some baking this morning, then kitchen cleanup. Also caught up on some reading before lunch - I had meant to do it over the weekend, but was a bit busy!
Laundry is on the agenda this afternoon, and hopefully clearing a paper jam in the shredder I got. I should have just sent it right back when it arrived with the jam, but I did know I was getting a discounted model. Looks like it was a return, but I thought they'd clear the jam before sending it back out to another customer... I don't return many items I buy online, and I hope this one gets to stay here.
I had an art group meeting yesterday with the more occasional Monday group. I thought our Wednesday group was a bit unpredictable with memmbers being a bit here and there but Monday is far more uncertain
