She has been big news in the uk for a some time now, but I got the impression that she was a 'C' list celeb over there.
What do you usaers make of her?
I don't read much about her but I came across the Oprah interview. I did not think very highly about her before she moved to the US, I felt sorry for her when she talked about her wanting to commit suicide, how people talked about her child's skin color when he is born... but then I looked up from my computer and saw her body language, I saw a phony woman who tried to look sincere and dignified but all I saw was just a phony person.

I have virtually no knowledge of the royal family. They do their thing, but have no part of my interest. I am sure they're lovely people, but I know very little about them. In fact, I steer clear of reading about celebrities altogether: they live in their world and I live in a separate world altogether.
I live and let live: and don't bother reading celebrity magazines or even about them on the Internet.
I do think many people have been taken in by her manipulation of the situation. Harry has made his bed and having to lie in it but I hope they do make a life of it. I just see something similar to Charles and Diana though. With the queen's obvious caring nature I cannot believe that she would let things get as bad as has been mentioned even if others around her were hostile. I think the main point is just that Megan found herself in a totally alien environment and just couldn't cope.

Caring nature?
This is a woman who meets her children by getting her secretary to call theirs, and asking for a written update on their interests.

I watched Megan on TV before she became part of the royal family, but I wasn't following her acting career really - just happened to watch the show "Suits" for a while.

A problem that does crop up is protocol. The queen has to show herself as figurehead and a good ruler. There is also a long history of tradition and ways of seeing to be doing things as well as doing them. This does contrast greatly with more modern types of leadership in which the private lives of rulers can appear to be more natural to the general population. These rulers usually only serve for short terms so are less constricted in their approach (think of Trump having lifelong rule without strictly defined protocols and likely results). This is the alien environment that I am referring to with Megan. Another point is also that royalty is a business. For the most part it has to run smoothly so some interaction will appear impersonal. Don't forget that the media will prey on every morsel. I would ask jthough, although she does not have direct control in anything, over the years just how often she has done something which went against the welfare of her people? Obviously I don't live in the family to know the full truth but this is my opinion.

I am not without respect for the queen. She has been doing the job to a good standard for many years. I just don't see her as a caring parent, and there are plenty of those about.
Meghan is awfully attractive: whatever you may think of her.
A real mantrap? I read an interesting piece in my mother's newspaper yeterday. More about the current issues (it's moved on since Oprah - she's so yesterday lol). There was quite a bit of evidence suggesting that Diana was not the innocent party in previous relationships and had numerous affairs. Really, I think the media are not nice, to say the least.

Particularly with James Hewitt
Often mooted as the father of Prince Harry. Guess which one is James Hewitt
