Isn't this topic one of the closest to our hearts? I love anything about house, gardenm whether you already have it or dream about it, share your ideas, post your inspiration pics, showcase your projects... After all, your house is a reflection of your taste and preference.

About me, I have been working on renovating a house I got in 9/2020 and now, we are still at 20% completion due to the construction regulations in California and the city where the house is at. On top of that, a few other hiccups along the way such as the recent passing of the structure engineer who was in charge of this project...

The house is in zone 10A in Northern CA, I hope to see your ideas about gardening, landscaping in this kind of zone.

That is what my room looked like once I was a teenager and decorated completely on my own. I still mostly want black, gray, and white everywhere.. but I had to add touches of color because my SO does not like that look as much lol compromise.

For my garden, I also pretty much want my leaves and flowers to be darker colors and white. I almost do a gradient of colors... purple, red, pink, and white. I can't help it.. I just love those type of looks lol I saw some bulbs that had nearly black looking flowers... and I told my SO I'll probably get some of those xD

I once told my dad to paint my walls red and he did (well partially pink, partially red anyway). They're still red, but I changed bedrooms, so I'm no longer sleeping in that room in the attic (thank God, it was scorching hot in the summer and super cold in the winter). But listening to the rain right above me when I was trying to fall asleep was the best thing ever.

I used to have a very old house, so we decorated it all black and white. Black visible beams and white english plasterwork.

Caution, I am feral.

I want to replace the shutters on the house one day to black ones. They are red right now... and it's faded and almost orange looking on some! That will definitely make the house look more sleek and modern.
