I am incredibly so. I am good at drawing and painting. I am good at graphic design, too. I also just love creative writing. I am good at arranging flowers and interior design. I tend to use my artistic ability to colour my writing. I love writing poetry. I have done so for many years. Even if I were destroyed today, my poems from the past would still exist.
I had a number of poems published with United Press years back. They must've loved my work. It is something to be proud of. I didn't make any money, but that isn't the point. I had my work put out there. And today people still read my poems. That is reward enough for me.
What artistic achievements have you made? Have you gotten an art qualification? Or had your writing put in print? I look forward to reading all your replies! I think everyone has an artist in them. And I don't think anyone needs to earn millions from their work: they can just be artistic out of enjoyment. That's how I see it, anyway.
I suppose so, I like to create things Ive made a few fancy birthday cakes. Ive written two books and some short stories. Ive sold some photos and my dogs have their own FB page where we keep a photo diary of their walks and they have fans/friends from all over the world.
I'm... partially artistic? I have quite a good imagination but my artistic and designing skills are severely lacking... I'm taking my art education a bit more seriously now in my free time and we'll see where that takes me. I've learnt foreign languages before and even got better at playing the piano after a few months of practice but I'm having a tough time visualizing myself with better drawing skills. The great thing about being a beginner at something though, is how quickly you improve at the start if you put work into it. Later on you have to put hundreds and hundreds of hours before you see minimal progress, put a hundred hours into something when you're a beginner and your skills and knowledge skyrocket.
Yes, an artist is somewhere in me.. they are in hiding now. I've done paintings, drawings, digital art, photography, and poetry. One of my poems was technically in a book, but it was one of those poetry books that anyone can get into for free lol not because I'm special.
I have not created anything in many years, but usually I only felt the urge when I was having the most inner turmoil, and it was my way of releasing it, so maybe it's a good thing. I also hardly take any pictures anymore other than on my phone, but the quality is not quite as good... I mostly take photos of plants and the sky.

Incredibly so as well. If I don't have art supplies or some sort of project going, I'm not a happy camper. There's a lot of projects in progress. I haven't made much of a dent due to health and my attention span is worse than ever lately. Oh well.
I use charcoal, acrylic, watercolor, graphite, ink, chalk and oil pastels. I want to learn oil painting. Crochet, revamping old items, DIY decor and modge podge are my jam. After years of growing up around home renovations I know how to do a lot there and am quite the decorator. I'm a former floral assistant of nearly five years (did my own designs and all the orders possible in a shift with product unpacking once a week) that could run the entire department without help for a shift.

Sounds wonderful, would love to see your works if you have any photo.

You can use modge podge on large items. This is what I did with my dressing table.
I do a few paintings. Mostly acrylic but I have recently completed a few oils. I find that oil painting is satisfying but takes so long with the long drying time. I know that there are faster drying oils but a large amount of those I have I got in a charity shop at a cat's home, of all places. Looking at the oil's I see similar results to my acrylics so that is probably down to style and, if so, I may as well stick with acrylics as they are quicker. I used to do quite a bit of drawing, having lessons then our art group after the lessons finished but the art group has not met since the middle of last year so none recently. I do have watercolours but use them less. My avatar is an example of my work.
I think we are all artistick in one way or another. It's often just finding out what our way is. Some people are brilliant at digital art but would find traditional methods slow and boring. Others make art and never realise it.

Would you upload a larger pic of your avatar? I would like to see it better.

I was dashing off when I saw your post but am just having a few minutes after lunch so I got some examples together. The first is 'Snowy' which is, as you may recognise, The Snowdog out of 'The Snowman and the Snowdog'. Mine is one I got one Christmas and I thought 'A portrait with a difference' lol. It is 6" x 8" in acrylic. The next is an oil painting of a local horse which has taken me ages, but just finished. It is 16" x 12". Finally there is the acrylic copy I made of a very old black and white photograph (Victorian or Edwardian). The original was semi nude so I designed the dress. It is 12" x 16". Just an insight into the things I do (slowly lol).

All old fake floral designs, canvas artwork and modge podge are gone post bad move like two years ago. I can photo out of my old sketchbooks?

I like to play with words. Didn't get the talent or inclination for artwork like painting and drawing that came from my mum and went to my three sisters. I'm the oddball with her head in a book (and now at the computer yakking away). I'm okay with some graphic design so far, but I need to practice that to improve and gain confidence. That's why I'd use pixabay to get photos if I were posting on Instagram again - I rarely have any photos of my own to use!
I do love taking photos of clouds, though. I once made a slideshow (on my first website) of cloud photos when I still had a film camera. Mum had told me I should take something other than clouds, so that was my naughty way of saying I preferred clouds over other subjects!
