It'll not be easy. There are many factors to consider:
1. The levels of oxygen in Martian air
2. The weather conditions: including sandstorms/volcanoes/earthquakes
3. Food sources
4. Water sources
5. Building buildings on Mars
6. Getting people off earth into the spaceship orbiting earth
7. Travelling through space for 3 months
8. Having to travel back to earth through space for 3 months
9. The gravity levels on Mars affecting the skeleton. Because once born on Mars it would not be possible to live on earth. The gravity is different on Mars to earth would crush the Martian's bones.
10. Having a human race on Mars would affect earth's people and cause political issues
There is a lot to having the human race on Mars. Whether it will happen or not is for future people to know.

Mars was always such a sci fi thing when I was a kid lol
It reminds me that I still need to invent warp drive lol. If we could get there and back fairly quickly it would be far more practical but space time is the enemy?

Time is measured differently when in space. Because time goes slow on the spaceship. But on earth years and years will go by, meaning everyone you've left behind would be dead if you returned. There is a law in science: the faster you go, the slower time goes. I can't remember offhand the scientist that discovered this, but it is the law of motion.
Going into space is not like going in a car or even on an airplane: it takes years and years of research and scientific knowledge. There is so much to science and space travel. But I am sure the human race will get there: whether on Mars or not.

Have any of you watched The Expanse? lol this made me think of that show.
I'm sure humans will figure everything out. If there is a will, then there is a way... and we have our eyes set on Mars lol I do think it will be quite the undertaking to make it a reality.
