what's been annoying me lately is all the spam I have been getting asking me to send money to uganda. don't people have better things to do with themselves?

Uganda and a host of other countries.
I can well believe the news reports we hear now and again of people losing their life savings by giving to loads of spammers and spamming charities that constantly badger people for money. If I find the energy sometime I will make a note of all the requests I see and hear in one day just to count up what the demand is. It would certainly run to hundreds of pounds a year and probably thousands which the susceptible would give. In isolation many may be genuine and for good causes but there are plenty of real criminals and to end up on a list of 'givers' which many people / organisations can access is really criminal.

That would be interesting to see Jen. t sounds like you do get more than I do right now.
People who switch off the kettle before it's finished boiling.
I always do that for drinks. It's one of my eco friendly routines. Our water is clean, and pure, enough that it doesn't have to boil, and tea and coffee taste perfect without reaching that last little bit.

I have patients, who have been virtually bankrupted by their kindness towards charities, and their was little support from the charities, when their carers tried to fix the problem.

It is hard to resist. The other day someone came round knocking on the door asking if I wanted to join the local air ambulance lottery. A very good cause but, in this case, I sent him away with a flea in his ear. I almost never gamble and have never even done the national lottery. Another pet hate of mine, at the moment, is corruption of (especially) children by the showing of gambling adverts on the TV. Particularly though, the suggestion that. if you gamble, it will help a charity is immoral in my opinion.

Charities who bleed the poor dry are totally immoral. Preachers who accept donations in America are the bad guys. These types of people who take money from the vulnerable are completely out-of-order. It is totally wrong. So I see your point, jen.
I'll clarify that with what I find - For me it is when people criticise because it is in their nature to for almost everything. The feel they need to get their two pennyworth in

When they do it in a moaning format - that's when it gets to me, as criticism can be very valuable, and honest, well intentioned critics can be hard to find.
My neighbour is great at back handed compliments and criticism she cant admit that anyone has done, said, or looks better than she does..
She saw one of my bird photos recently and said, 'wow I love that the way you bring the bird forward and blur the background so the bird really pops, but, it doesnt look like something you could do, it looks like you clipped it from a magazine' Then she asked if I would do a photo shoot of her sons dog so she could make him a calender for his birthday..

I politely refused.
Didn't you simply say. "I was getting the camera out of my bag to take a picture of my dog, but I am so clumsy, I dropped it and it just went off as a bird was flying by."

What I hate are people who plain nasty: and especially when they are conniving about it. Plus, I hate it when someone has their back turned and refuse to acknowledge someone.

Something which is very love - hate with me is how some people just turn their back on an argument and walk away. It's irritating but sometimes it's the only way.
Plus, I hate it when someone has their back turned and refuse to acknowledge someone.
Well I'm good at that one. If someone has angered me, insulted me or been nasty enough to me I will literally cut them dead and when I mean they don't exist I mean I will walk past them as if they are invisible.
I don't need to have rows, I don't need to hear them justify why they were horrible, so unless they come up and apologise properly and fully I will literally exclude them from my life and they will no longer exist.

I so admire that. I am much to polite to completely ignore people. I even said 'hi' to my ex last time I saw him. But it was instinctive, and I hope to ignore him the next time he speaks.
I went out to eat tonight, Mexican, and I was reminded of something that does annoy me. Men that wear their hat in the restaurant while eating. That had always irked me.
