$25,000? Why do they hafta be so expensive? How the hell can someone making $15 an hr. afford that?
And with all the troubles with not having enough electricity to keep it running without rolling blackouts...won't these cars just make matters worse?
And if there's not enough sunlight then does the car battery run low?
Low sunlight would make it take longer to charge for sure. That's the price of a lot of new cars, so it's not terrible for it being an EV.... I do find all cars to be overpriced. Prices of everything really... most things are not worth the cost lol

It also has an assistive device for people with impaired vision or legally blind.
Ha ha - I have just put a link to the website on the other reading thread. The prices I have seen may well put most off
I have not gone though all the video's on the site but, as far as I have gone, they seem to be pretty much like the one you have here. Someone saying how good it is rather than showing how good (or bad) it is. There seems to be lots of hype and little substance. Always try before you buy!

I did a quick scan and found perhaps a more useful evaluation: OrCam Read Demo

Your post is great cattleya: I think the reading device is something I'd have some of my disabled friends use. Technology has really helped people out. Plus, kids learning to read will find it useful.
Learning to read in childhood is vital. Children often don't know that, but it is up to adults to teach their kids reading and other skills. If this device helps them do it, then it is vitally important.
I won’t recommend this tool to teach kids on how to read, unless the kid has a special need and the specialist/therapist recommends it. I watched the video of a legally blind mum who appreciates the benefit of the device in terms of being able to read a book with her little kids. Spending time with kids as such is precious to most of us, mothers. I think this is what this device is all about - giving independence to people with disabilities. Making the impossible things possible. The price is expensive for now but hopefully it’ll be more affordable in the future.

Has anyone owned a shiatsu massage cushion or something similar and what's your experience? How long have you owned it? Pros and cons based in your experience. Massage chair could be nice but it's massive in size so I don't want it. Something like this.. www.homedics.com/gentle-touch-gel-deluxe-shiatsu-massage-cushion-with-soothing-heat/

We have an old one of those. Just massage, no heat. We have used it off and on for about 15 years, and when needed, it's a big help. Ours was way less than that though. But if it dies we will have another.

Thanks, Cherry. One-day bargain sale in most shops so I'm buying today.
