I use always infinity overnight pads for when I'm sleeping.
I use Party in my Pants cloth pads during the day. It's a funny name =p They have some nice designs, and they work well.
Sometimes I use tampons, and I think I use tampax as well. I get the sports one and the pearl one, depends on why I plan on using them.. such as if I'll be swimming or being very active.

I use my Pearls during the day because they are comfortable, but during the night I use Stayfree overnights. A few months ago my periods became less predictable, but it looks like they're back on track now.
Yeah, periods like to get new schedules every now and then. Mine came a little early this time.. I'm just glad it didn't start while I was sleeping. I hate not being prepared!
If I have a heavy flow I wear tampons all the time (even overnight) but I back up my overnight with a panty liner. When I lighten up I just sleep with a panty liner or sometimes just wear a panty liner.
However, my flow is very light since I have had the IUD in. So, it's mostly panty liners as we all know what happens when you wear tampons with too light a flow. Ouch!
It's not worth talking about all the time! We'd all probably rather take our minds off of it by chatting about other things ;-)
I also use panty liners on light days, sometimes I'll have like 3-4 days of light days... and 2-4 days of heavy on average. Although, my version of heavy isn't as heavy as some women.
I use generic pads with wings and I just use Tylenol and Ibprofen for cramps, I've tried using Tampons but tampons and me dont always agree with each other

My period normally lasts between 4 and 5 days. I'm on day 4 now. My flow is lighter and the cramps are pretty much gone. I like days 4 and 5 much more than the first 3!

A few evenings ago when I was taking my shower I did my self breast exam and noticed a tiny lump on my left breast. I know that may have been caused by hormonal changes because I was in the middle of my period. Last night I checked again and it seems to be normal again. Is this something I should be concerned about or just blame it on my period?

I'll have to check. I've been fairly healthy, so really didn't need to do that. When I was in my teens I would do a self exam every now and then, but since I'm in my late 20's now I do it more frequently. I realise that 90% of the time the little breast bumps are benign, but there is always that 10%. I would recommend that every woman do a self exam regularly! And, thank you Cher.
It can be pretty normal for women to get lumps in their breasts.
I have some cysts in my left breast that were checked a couple years back, and they were of no concern to the doctors. However, mine don't go away, or change really, so I suppose I'll need to have mine checked every now and then to make sure it doesn't become cancerous.
If yours already went away, then it's most likely nothing serious, but it doesn't hurt to get it checked. What you have would be considered cyclical lumps, which does happen with your menstrual cycle.

Thanks Heather. I never noticed anything before, but I never really looked for anything or felt anything. I'll go to the doctor if something seems abnormal, but now I'll just accept it as part of my monthly blessing.

Heather, at the old site we were "tampon twins" because our cycles kinda mirrored each other's. Now because that periods have their own time tables, we aren't twins any more. My next one should begin on Feb.21 - when is yours supposed to start?
Then what the heck is my body doing? I'm pretty much never looking forward to anything; I know that sounds bad, but I don't get too excited about holidays. OR.... is it because I always have my period or know I will have it? dun dun dunnn... It's a case similar to what came first: the chicken or the egg?
I shouldn't lol, for I am exactly the same. I feel cheated about it too. I look forward to good times in a theoretical fashion, as in "Xmas will be fun". I don't feel a rising excitement.
I am particularly cross that I have never, ever squealed with excitement.
I am excited about things most people aren't excited about (but it's rare), and then I am not excited about things most people are excited over lol I do feel like an oddball.
Sometimes I am excited when I get my period ;p
