Turned out they recognize my name and my previous house was featured on a local magazine a few year ago, I don't even remember it but the contractor thought that was a selling point.
Cherry, your environment looks very romantic, do you feel that way?

My area is calm, but not that calm.
Romantic is something I have often thought. I see quite a few couples wandering through. More interested in each other than me lol.
You mentioning that your house was in a magazine was interesting. I have always seen the sad side, of house remodelling, in that someone has loved a place, and now that 'love' has been torn down.
But then the next stage is going to be done with love too, so that's a positive, and the circle rolls along.

My place was rented back by the builder as a model home Cherry, our name was credited for it. They rented it for almost two years.

That was the least decorated house I owe, I put no efforts into it but somehow it caught their eyes.
Here are some pics
You are being too modest.
Some peops just have an eye for aesthetics.
Thanks Cherry, I know I am okay. I think you will like my sister's decoration. She is really good at this. She has adopted my new construction and keeps feeding me with ideas.
BTW, I am starting to like my house. We went there yesterday. All these 7 ft x 5ft windows ( there will be 6 sets ) surrounding the U-shape courtyard and the french doors on top of them really created a completely different look.
We had a newish house, but wooden single glazing and no central heating. Wooden windows didn't close as well as the modern upvc, and there were usually drafts.
I can't wait to move into my one story "bungalow", this big house is starting to bother me. A brand new construction is going on in my backyard and I have to walk down the hill to collect mail which I think is totally stupid. I can't believe people are paying this kind of money to put up with this. To me, it's simply an investment.

I have been on older building up north and now that I think of it they did get a little frosty on the inside in winter.
