Watching Archive 81.. just to remove it from the list because it was canceled after the one season. It has me interested so far... wanting to know what the heck is going on lol

We've started watching The Acolyte. Not sure just yet about it, but the first two episodes were entertaining.
I keep forgetting Doctor Who is new on Fridays - probably because this season isn't snagging me as much as previous ones did. I did like the 1813 costumes, though, for the most recent episode. Regency dresses are so cool!
The Chosen is also back, and I'm enjoying it. Yesterday's episode ended with a tough bit plotwise, and I'm interested to see what's next.
Also, I watched Maid in Manhattan last night. Still love that one!

Our afternoon video as a family yesterday was The Inner Light, an episode of Star Trek: TNG that critics and fans like a lot. (Birthday girl's choice!) Kinda made the teen think deeply for a while afterwards when I just remembered it being a fun hour of TV... Oops!
I watched Bride & Prejudice last night and skipped The Acolyte - felt like my movie choice would be a lot lighter in tone and more fun! I love musicals, and a Jane Austen story going modern and to India so it's a bit Bollywood? Awesome!

I loved the most recent Doctor Who episode! This is what I've been wanting all season... Excited for the next one.
Also enjoying The Chosen, and I found Home Fires from the PBS App last night (based on a book called Jambusters). Oh, and I've started watching the 2023 season of Neighbours - partly for the Australian accents!

We've watched more Star Trek: TNG lately: Time's Arrow, and then we went back a couple seasons to see Best of Both Worlds. Good stories, and good examples of two-parters!
I also watched Jonah, a stage musical from Sight & Sound that I have on DVD. Thought since I'd just read the book, it was time for the show!
Looking forward to Doctor Who this weekend (gotta have the hockey game first, though) and a new episode of The Chosen on Sunday.
Last night we started a new UK series called the Red King. Its billed as a crime /horror /drama but we both thought it had touches of Hot Fuzz about it there are little bit of totally daft humour in there . Only two episodes in but we are both enjoying it so far.
Last night I found "Day of the Jackal" on the TV player and having recently finished the book I watched the film. It was worth watching although, as usual, not as good as the book. The film followed the book fairly well although missed quite a bit out and seemed a bit rushed.

We are currently watching a Netflix documentary about America's Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.
This is the training programme to find the 36 representatives for the 2023 season.
We had no idea the competition was so tough. The program is in 7 episodes, and the final cut from 96 women down to 36 is done with about a week in advance of the first live football game. It inevitably causes great emotional distress for both the dance co-ordinator and the cheerleader being cut at that final interview. They are literally ending the dream for that season, although they can apply for the following season.

Not sure how many of you will have heard of the sadly deceased out of his tree celeb Pete Burns? There was a series once of him looking for a personal assistant. As it was done like The Apprentice, it was strangely compulsive viewing.

I started watching Chesapeake Shores last night after I found it on PlutoTV. It reminded me how much I liked the books, and I think it might be a fun watch. Also filmed in Canada!
