I like longer films darn it. More value for my money Plus, longer films can have deeper more complex plots.
I do agree, broadly speaking, but I suspect you never watched the Hobbit trilogy.
3 films of three hours from an itsy ditsy paperback?
I loved the Hobbit trilogy and always watch the extended versions. That said, I am not a big fan of the LotR films. Too much fighting/battles for my blood. It gets old after a while.
Me, I like the theater. The toilets are to be avoided of course. But the theater stock raisinette candy, I don't.
I've always been more of a Goobers fan myself, but I can just buy them to eat at home. I actually like watching movies at home now that we have a larger TV. It's nice and peaceful, and I can pause whenever I want if needed lol I can even watch half a movie and continue another day if it's too much really.

We have two. One is our previous one that we keep upstairs... it was not much larger than a larger computer monitor lol the one we have downstairs for our nighttime tv and movies is 60 inches.
Season 1 and 2 are certainly the best. The black comedy is pure genius. My favourite line in season 1 was "Oops!". Think of me laughing when you spot it.
We made it to the oops lol I was already suspicious... I do not trust that woman at all ever.
I may make it there before you then. We watch about 1 or 2 a night, unless we're too busy to watch much of anything... then 0 at times, but the seasons are kind of short.

We also have a 42" plasma my husband brought into the marriage over ten years ago. I had to take out the doors and bracket mounts in my wall unit to accommodate it. It replaced my 32-inch LCD. We have only one TV...no need for more.

Only one tv in this house. Its a 32 inch and thats fine for us
We have a 32 inch too which is big enough. As a spare there is alo the portable which the kids used for computer games when they were little. It would take a bit of fitting though as it is analogue only so we would have to use the old Freeview box which has a digital tuner too.

We can both stream netflix, amazon, hbo, disney via our computer screens if we want to watch something while in our own space but our tv is in the living room. No screens in the bedroom either.
I watch 2-3 hours a day. How about the rest of you?
Due to my current physical condition (due to my accident) I have the telly on most of the day. That said, unless I am playing games, I don't watch that much telly. I have it on more for just having a something in the background.
I actually watch 2-4 hours of actual telly/films a day.

Apart from the lunchtime news I like to watch a detective story between 9 and 11 in the evening. Something like a Miss Marple, Poirot or similar just to relax before bed, often falling asleep lol. Otherwise I don't pay that much attention to TV. I tend to be so engrossed in what I am doing that I forget things are on. There are sometimes particular things on but not often.
I watch 2-3 hours a day. How about the rest of you?
With the boys, I watch only 30-45 mins, but not every day. Depends if it's a day they'll be able to handle the input - sensory overload is a real issue here, and there are times when our schedule has been too packed. I also typically give them a day to recuperate after they've had a bunch of video games, TV, and busyness with their dad. (He generally doesn't seem to understand their specific needs, no matter how much documentation is provided.)
Most evenings, there'll be 60-90 mins of TV time for me once all kids are in bed. One night a week, they're away and then I admit that I start watching at supper time and it's probably a bit much; but it does allow me to catch up or watch entire movies... I'll have an extra night to do that this week, but I'm not sure if I'll take advantage of it or just play music instead. Anyway, I always make sure I have 30-60 minutes of reading at the end of the day, and that helps me wind down from TV and everything else!
For me there is a difference between watching TV and having the set "on".
I used to have the TV on in that manner, or just play music as a background noise. I liked it, but I learned that for at least one kid, it was too much sensory input. Now I'll use my phone or tablet for music that can be quieter and go with me if I change rooms. He's also not a fan of pop and rock but I don't choose classical much (his favourite), so this is less annoying for him.
I bet when I get to the empty nest point, I'll have a music channel on practically all day. Maybe not a depressing news channel for company if I were lonely, but something with house makeovers and such!
