Tough to be a comedian these days. Governor Cuomo resigns and the late night comics poke fun.
The best line I heard was from Colbert, something like..."Cuomo steps down and fourteen women take two steps away".
Uh, that's the best his raft of writers could come up with???
You know what would be funnier? Just re-air the acclaim Governor Cuomo got from these same comics. Fallon might be best with his; "Governor where are you, where do you rate on the singles dating scale?"

You can give someone acclaim for something that you thought they did well at the time... and then speak out about something else they do wrong that comes to light later. It's what should be done... holding people accountable regardless of any good they may have done previously.
I am watching Northwoods Law. It is a reality show about the game wardens in my old home state of New hampshire. It's amazing how many places i recognize while watching.
Some of my Netflix suggestions are still good... some are really random, and I really don't see the connection to some of the things I have watched. I think they do a poor job advertising some of their shows and movies sometimes because there are a lot of instances where by the time I hear about it, and it will sound like something I'd be interested in, the show is already canceled after one season! lol
Sound on TV shows is driving me mad.. I know sound will vary depending on the show and the type of show but...Im watching Baptiste on BBC, normally my tv sound is 8 if Im alone 10 if OH is watching with me (hes noisy and deaf) but with this show Im having to put the sound up to 17 or 20..Its mumbled and muted as if Im hearing it through a solid glass wall or underwater.
Then I have to be careful when I turn back to normal TV or I blow my ears off..

Anyone else noticed this?
It's been driving me mad for years in that adverts are always louder than the actual program but maybe that's another thing.
Yes, I have noticed recently that I have had to vary the TV sound quite a bit for different programs. I was beginning to think that my hearing was playing up or that the TV was faulty.
Another issue with our TV is that the radio channels are louder than the TV channels so switching between them can be (literally) a pain.

I went deaf as a child, so understand where you're coming from.
Even today, I need the volume up high. If there is background noise, too, I find it hard to distinguish the words on the programme. It's a pain.
If you're hard of hearing, does your doctor know? Perhaps you could have a hearing test and see if you need a hearing aid? However, if it's the actual fault of the volume differences then do forget my comments!
I know that my hearing is tip top so it's not that it really is volume in different programs I always understood the reason why adverts were of a higher volume was to grab your attention or wake you up from the nap you were having while watching whatever program it was. There have been several programs recently, one was period drama where the background music was so intrusive that it drown out the voices and I know I wasn't the only one to complain because it became a subject on points of view.
I must admit there have been several programs where the background music or the mumbled voices have actually put me off watching the series and I simply deleted it.
Maybe it's more commonly known as Samurai X (at least that's how I knew it). It's a series of film adaptations of comic books with the same name. Been ongoing since years ago, there's a total of 5 films and it's completed. Not sure how faithful it is to the original story, but since I'm too lazy to check, I'll just take the movies at face value lol. Loving the choreography of the fight, it's not easy to make it look real.

I just found out last night that NCIS: New Orleans is over. Oops, missed watching it even though I like Scott Bakula. You'd think that with seven seasons, I could have managed to tune in.
But there's going to be NCIS: Hawaii starting this fall. I don't care so much for the mystery and cop shows anymore, but the opportunity to see Hawaii on screen? Sign me up!
We started on Children's Hospital.. really short episodes to watch after watching something longer, but when we don't have enough time to watch another long episode of anything. I think it's pretty funny... so ridiculous and messed up! This came before Medical Police, which I also thought was funny. Making fun of those dumb medical drama shows lol but it goes above and beyond to another level.
I am watching " The Loudest Voice" about Roger Ailes, the guy who ran Fox News. The guy was a moron but he was shrewd businessman, when he was trying to convince Murdoch to bring him in, he said something that I think so true: "We don't inform people, we make people FEEL informed". So there you go, the kind of audience Fox targets are those who are lazy to think, those who want other people to think for themselves and those who are not capable to think for themselves.
Anyway flicking through the menus on tv last night it came by so I thought Id give it a try... Talk about strange.. I dont mean bad but a bit off the wall.. Still trying to dislodge the biscuit I choked on when a pair of testicles filled my screen unexpectedly.
