Now yes, I always have time for shoe shopping. The Oscars not so much.

Last night I watched "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" starring Paul Newman and Robert Redford. Excellent film!
Tonight it's going to be  "The Hunt for Red October", starring Sir Sean Connery.

I agree with you, Pris. But it shouldn't be about best best Black actor or actress; It should be based upon merit.

Jen, you used the word "merit"? I'm shocked!

I saw some statistics that indicate since 1999 blacks have won about 20% ob best actor awards.

Recently, since about 2009, the percentage is down, about 10%. (Blacks compose 13% of the US population.)

Seems that the most recent films are about "real" people and unfortunately Hollywood's script choices have been about white people. Maybe this is where the racism is and not the Oscar voters?

Last night I watched the "new" premier of "The X-Files". Tonight I'll be watching episode 2. The original cast members are back and last night's ratings were "out of this world!" I love that show.

Check it out. It's awesome!

I loved it then and I love it now. X-Files was the only show that I HAD to watch every week.

The film was ok-ish. Abit too godly for me though.

We watched Orlando the other night Y A W N !

Both american movies. Orlando was from a book by Virginia Wolf. Bernie was a true story with a remarkable twist after the film came out.
