I have a vanity, dressing table and yet my stuff crowds the master bath too. Its not that I keep on hand that much stuff, it just happens. Perhaps standing is just so much more practical.

That brings up a good point. Standing or sitting to put on your makeup?
I stand but i don't have a nice dressing table yet. The bathroom mirror just doesn't cut it. The lighting isn't the best.
That is exactly how I felt...
Cherry there is an antique auction house not far from me. They are running sales now because they really can't do auctions and they do have a lot of furniture. I am going to take a ride over there this week and see if i can find anything.
I went for something quite dull, but it was the function I wanted. That way you can fix it up to be 'karenish'
Did you notice the top of my dressing table with the pattern of red roses?
That was so easy....
Is that a stencil? How did you do that Cherry?
It's wall paper. You put it on using a special varnish. Watch the video below. It really is so easy. I have never done it before, but I managed it first time.

Basically. I chose the wallpaper I sanded the old surface to give it a key I cut the wall paper to size I painted the desk with the modge podge I painted the back of the wall paper with the modge podge I let it dry and painted the top with modge podge
I got my wallpaper free. I measured the desk, then I went to the wallpaper shop, chose the wallpaper and tore off a 'sample'. Oddly enough, it was slightly longer than my dressing table.

That was lucky.
I don't even know where or if I can get wallpaper around here. But where there is a will there is a way.
We do but i don't recall ever seeing wallpaper there. I will have to check on my next visit.
I bet you wish you could just go online and look at the store's website?
That would make it a lot easier but unfortunately it is more like walking trough a warehouse so they really don't post to much on their website. I might take a ride over this weekend.
