I have just been making my lunch for tomorrow, I am working, I have roast lamb on a roll and a flask of cream of mushroom soup. I also have some no cal red bull before the long drive home.

Presuming of course I remember to take it all.

Mini black bean and cheese empanadas for lunch... then a turkey feast for dinner. Yes, I am starting Thanksgiving a day early ;p But tomorrow I will have dessert after the meal (carrot cake), so that makes it feel a little different? lol

I made it a few years ago and honestly

but a neighbour of mine had an American partner, he tried it and the following day turned up with a bag of ingredients for me to make more !

No accounting for taste I suppose.

We have pie right now with pineapple, whipped cream, and vanilla pudding. My SO's sister gave me some filling to put into a GF crust, and she brought him half a pie for himself.

I don't like pumpkin pie! Sweet potato pie might be better. I like sweet potato casseroles (smashed sweet potato mixed with brown sugar and butter) and then toasted marshmallows on top.

Pecan pie is more to my liking. Apple or cherry pie, too.

My mom used to make a really yummy chocolate pie... it was chocolate cookie crust with chocolate pudding (mixed with some whipped cream to make it slightly more like a mousse), and then with whipped cream and shredded chocolate on top.

I don't make my own because I'd probably make it dry lol but when I buy it from places that prepare or pre-cook it, then it is flavorful and tender. I think they usually brine it, which does make a difference. You need to find yourself some good turkey to try; it's a huge difference.
