Not sure I can let it go that long without someone calling the town on me lol
Half of my garden is wild. It's an easy choice, as it is almost pure bluebell. Memory permitting, I will take a picture this morning as they are almost all in full bloom.
If you look, you can see the fence that separates my garden from the woods.
I love the view! The woods look similar to those locally here. There are bluebells around but the main thing I noticed today is that the wild garlic is coming on well.

That's gorgeous, Cherry!
When I was growing up, we had a woods opposite our house: myself, my brother and Jack loved wandering in the woods. I also went wandering around woods in Sweden with our grandfather. Those Swedish woods are amazing: and vast. I loved walking through the trees and along woodland paths. There is such nostalgia.
Wouldn't it be wonderful to be back in those days? Those special memories can never be deleted, though. And I shall always remember.
Cherry, i love it that you have woods right behind your property. Besides a nice place to go it affords a little needed privacy.
The woods are why we live here. We could have bought a better house for the same money elsewhere in this town, but.... we wanted the woods.
Same here. We were looking for places with a nice lot as much as we could. If the house was decent enough, then we'd go for it.
What we have isn't quite what we'd want, but it's not bad either! One day I hope we can have our dream home and property, but I will miss the trees and bushes I added here lol
No, it's teeny in comparison to a few acres. The woods are a good few acres, I don't know how many, but it is a twenty minute walk around the circumference. If you look again at the picture, you can see our fence.
My actual lot is small but i border conservation land so it is like I have hundreds of acres. I never see anyone back there when i am walking. I think most are afraid of the critters that live out there.
I have a large lot for Florida at about half an acre. I used to have 2 in New hamphire so this is smaller. I'm just glad that I have conservation land behind me.
I was inside the house looking out to the yard and there was my gardener took down the vines that took months to grown and cover the fence. I should have told himm but it was too late:(
It seems the weather has decided to warm up a bit finally so my peppers are now out in the greenhouse and growing Ok. They will need repotting at some point. That left room for me to plant some more seeds, germinating them in the house for warmth - Aubergines, courgettes and cucumbers. I am a bit late with these this year I think but they should catch up. One of my tomatillos is showing buds and a flower so not too long now

Not many reblooming types that can be here, so I'm going to pick one of those I think.
If in doubt, I choose between which is hardiest and the prettiest.
Haha, they are equally hardy and pretty ;p One gets slightly larger. I am now leaning toward the dark purple one after googling more images of it. The pics that I shared in that link above make it look more pink, but it actually is a really nice purple color that I don't have in my garden yet.
All this rain is now boosting things in the garden. The tomatillo I evicted from the greenhouse a while ago has survived and is now coming into flower. It's time to re-orginise now as my cucumber seedlings are now ready to re-pot in the greenhouse so more will have to go out.

Andrea has tried to set up our garden, so we have something flowering all 365 days. That's quite a challenge given our climate.

That is something I'd like to accomplish, too. It's tough for us because we actually have too much shade from all the trees lol so we're limited on flowering bushes that will actually flower without sun. We removed the oak tree and opened up a good stretch of land that will get more sun now, so that's where we're planting some of the newer things (crape myrtle, red bud, and the lilac potentially).
