I had a roommate when I was a sophomore in college. Mary Ellen never had an Asian friend before she met me. She was so excited that one weekend, she told me she wanted to cook an Asian meal with me and used the freshest ingredient so another Chinese student across the hall took us to the fish market in Chinatown. The guy took the fish out of the tank and used a baseball to kill the fish. Both ME and I almost threw up on the sidewalk. We never talked about cooking again.
I'm not sure what a trading law is but, most places here in Kansas are open on Sunday's except the post office & city offices & banks. And you can't buy liquor here after 7 or 8 p.m. on Sunday's. I found that out the hard way when I went into the supermarket for wine coolers one night. The clerk asked me if they were alcoholic. I could've lied but the register would've ratted me out. LOL! Used to be you couldn't buy that stuff on Sunday's at all. They were supposed to switch to all 6.0 like they have in the liquor stores but they still sell 3.2 stuff. Oh yeah, the drs offices are closed on Sun. as well.
