The cops in my area are nice, but I feel that they are always a few steps behind me like the day the alarm monitor company called me and I arrived to my house 5 minutes before the cops showed up.

As individuals, I am not fussy on them, I find them a bit dim, and very arrogant. Collectively, they are necessary.

They are pleasant even when they are mean.

This does not happen anymore but the alarm at my other house went off every month, probable more than that. The alarm service called the cop when they could not get a hold of us. One time, they told me: M'am, I know you are very busy and rely on others for help, but we are afraid if we have to be out here three times a month, we have to impose a fine after the second time, if there is no valid reason for us to come out.

The next month, they came out three times and gave me a citation on the third time, the officer said to me : I truly apologize, m'am. I know you don't want for this to happen either. You can let your service know and they will take care of everything for you.

They are really sweet to deal with. I don't mind donating to their organization at all.

Over here they are saying masks are pointless, which is obviously wrong.

They are saying though, that if we buy the best masks, there will be fewer for nhs staff.

But why do nhs staff have them if they are not much use?

We had some from when my SO had to go into the crawlspace and do other things around the house that we didn't want to breathe in. Then my parents have some because my dad works on cars and uses them then. Worked out well...

I also use cheap gloves for touching raw meat and cleaning up after the dogs if they make a mess, so they have come in handy.
