It was the appearance of the 56k modem that changed the internet into the largest estate in the world.
I do remember how fantastic it was, how many new and very important friends I had back then.
Even now, I often wonder how they are, and wonder if they think of me.........
Audiogalaxy, a p2p music sharing site was my first introduction into forums.
Even though message were 30 seconds apart, I was still glued to my screen.
It would take me 30 minutes to download a song, then along came the americans talking about T1, 2 and 3 connections and dling songs faster than they could play them.
*****sighs***** Happy days.

I remember using some of the old technologies like Telnet and Gopher that I could only use at a University or a big business. (They were all UNIX interfaces). I remember getting my very first email account it was at school. (Cal). I was also one of the very first yahoo email holders.
I remember getting colour and then images. It was like magic.
Any of you remember when this was yahoo?
