They are congregating in the corner. I know I could vacuum it up but I feel bad. Apparently they don't do any damage to the home, they just sort of chill out.
They are probably trying to escape from the weather a bit. They will most likely just die on their own or venture back outside by themselves. They are pretty good at eating other little insects, too, so I'd leave them alone. It happened to us last year; we have a handful of them near our window. They were gone not long after that :-) I think they are so cute..

That's definitely for good luck! Leave them at your house.
We had thousands of ladybirds at our balcony at the previous appartment we rented. They spent the whole winter sitting in the corner, never even tried to get into the flat, so we had no problems with them.

They kind of look gross in the corner, like mould or something but no one really comes over anyway.
Also the lady bugs (or birds) over here are actually Asian ladybugs. Orange and black. I haven't seen a red and black on in a VERY long time. Maybe 20 years?

We have red and black ones here. And Suzy, I have a request. If the idiots in this country elect Donald Trump as President, may I come up and stay with you?!
There are a few types of ladybugs here. The red ones, the orange ones, the ones with a lot of spots, and the ones with only a few. It would be cool to see some other varieties... I hear there are a lot of different ones. I probably wouldn't even realize they are ladybugs if I saw some of them lol

I think it's usually the 8 spotted that I see, but some can have as many as 12.
You know, a lot of creatures are not true to their names, but I'm still going to call them whatever we decide to call them regardless ;p They aren't ladies, they aren't birds, and they aren't bugs... silly names for them :-)

They aren't ladies?
But, I saw one crook their little finger as she was drinking her tea.
