But only if the intention is to offend. Coz I am not a brit. I am a scot. But if people don't know that, then why should I be offended?

BC you can or cannot be offended, unless you're offensive yourself.
If the offender, is offensive, then you can turn the tables, and offend the offender,
in a most offensive way Mup.

well yes Cher, i do prefer to be known as English (even though my name is British Bea hasha)
if i fill a form in i say im white english, i just dont think British narrows it down enough. but i dont find it offensive if someone called me a Brit, unless they used it in a offensive way, but if i was to say for example 'the owner of the business i work for is a paki' i would be racist for that, but if he said 'the girl who works in my office is white/is a brit' that wouldnt be racist.. see what im trying to say?
every person is different some dont find it offensive some do, thats why i wouldnt say what i was showing an example of.
