you know when you think things, and then it really burns your head..
the other day i was thinking; say you are blind, do you know that an orange is orange bcos really you dont know colours so you think that orange is just an object not only a colour...
the one really does f*** my brain, its also hard to explain but; i see the colour blue, you see the colour blue. how will we ever know that everyone sees the colour blue, your blue may be my green and my green may be your purple, how would anyone ever know...
When life hands you lemons, make grape juice then sit back and watch as the world wonders how you did it.

Without getting to deep into the human condition and philosophy, colours are a very "relative and subjective" thing. There are some great articles on how colours really don't exist at least in the way we think they do. The way we all individually and collectivity conceptualise colour is amazing and may have more to do with culture and learned behaviour than the actuality "reality" of it.
I remember there was once a tribe in the Amazon that had no real concept of the colour "blue" until they met explorers. The saw the sky as clear or yellow and water as green, clear or brown. It wasn't until the explorers explained to them about "blue" did they start to "see it". Weird and fascinating huh?

Very! Blue en espanol es azul. Every country has different names for colours. Perhaps that tribe in the Amazon had their own particular way of saying Blue.

They actually did not see what we refer to as "blue" in their mind until the explorers gave them the concept. I know that sounds hard to put our heads around but its true. The colour blue wasn't part of their collective consciousness until it was introduced to them. When they saw something that we refer to as "blue" in their mind they didn't see blue. When they looked at the sky they saw something like a "yellow-clear". I know it sounds impossible but there are several examples of this in history.
Did you know that people really aren't colour blind. They just see the world differently than most people do.
They can actually see things that we can't and vice versa. They are especially good at detecting certain shades of colours used in what we all call "camouflage". Some "colour blind" people are highly regarded in the military and search and rescue groups because of this.
The colour of anything is only determined by how that object breaks up the light that hits it. I know this sounds daft, but in the dark, there are no colours.
I am a low grade colour blind on the red green spectrum. In practice I cannot tell the difference between duck egg blue and duck egg green. Also for quite a few shades of green or blue, I can tell the difference, but then I am told I am wrong. Once I know I am wrong, I can see the other colour.
This camouflage is news to me. I never heard that before.
I had a relative who was color blind.. his red was a version of our green. My mom is a red head, too, so she always imagined she looked "odd" to him lol

Technically there are colours but their nature is hard to understand. They reason why we know there are colours is that electronic equipment can differentiate between all colours and that light waves behave different depending what section of the spectrum they originate.
That being said, what most people refer to has colour is how light is interpreted in our mind (brain) which is totally relative to each one of us, In "reality" we all see the world and colours differently, (Remember the blue/white dress?)

See, I have always seen it as white and gold. I have thought the same as you, Callie, how we can never actually know how other people perceive colors because it is all in our heads. Crazy stuff!

i always wonder, like we think, inside our heads, do animals, such as dogs do it too? like do they walk around thinking 'oh thats a cute flower' 'oo that ham smells nice' 'i think i need to pee' i know they dream, but what the heck do they dream about? they dont perceive things the way we do so do they dream about ham, going for walks, and catching a ball?

My dog is often running in her sleep, you can see her paws twitching.
As for flowers? My dog often smells them. LOL
Speaking of which, a dog's sense of smell is 14 times stronger than ours. That is a fact. So why do they have to stick their noses virtually on top of fresh dog poo?
yeah my dogs run in their sleep or make really funny noises that cant possibly be explained!! Cher, thats right, their hearing is stronger too.. the whole reason i took a pregnancy test was because of how weird my bitch was being!!
why can we hear our self think? how does it even work? its like you can hear it, but its not a noise!!!
