We cant afford it just yet, but one day i want to go abroad, like out of the UK abroad, somewhere sunny, with a pool, a beach, restaurants, pubs etc. i want to take M away like i used to when i was younger.
thing is my OH never went abroad, the furthest hes been is Ireland, he has no interest in going to another country, he doesnt see it as i do, i said to him this morning 'i just want to go away from here, away from the same old shit every day, i get up sort malakai, sort my self, go to work, come home sort malakai, we both sort dinner, i clean then bed and same old again' he just said 'well apart from work you will be doing that on holiday anyway wont you so whats the difference' there is a BIG difference, i wont have to cook, clean (so much) yeah ill have to sort M as normal but thats not the problem, i just want to get away.
i wrote this on the other forum i go on (baby one) and as per the bitchy comments appeared saying my OH is a pig headed pr*ck, hes selfish and needs to make compromises, which yeah i agree he could make compromises, but if one says yes and the other says no, how do you compromise whilst keeping both happy? i dont want to drag him on a holiday and him be miserable the whole time. they were also saying that i should just book a holiday and take M with me, which my OH has said is not happening either, i couldnt and wouldnt do that, i wouldnt like it if it was the other way around, he wants to take M to these car show things but i said no i dont want him to go just yet, so he didnt take him, imagine if he had of took him anyway id be fuming!!!
anyway idk what it is, why he doesnt want to ever go abroad, he does suffer anxiety and he doesnt come to many family events with me but i would rather he didnt come than sit and be uncomfortable all night, you cant force a anxious person to sit in a room with 100 family members you have never seen (literally, i still meet family members now haha)
