Bees in Florida rebound big time.
Susan Jacobson of the Orlando Sentinel reports that Florida has a bee explosion going on.
"The state is now home to over 400,000 colonies, a 145% increase over the past 8 years.
Jamie Ellis, a UF professor of entomology explains Florida beekeepers have resorted
to more careful bee management based on science,
not blame on other environmental or human factors.
Florida produced 14.7 million pounds of honey in 2014
worth over 30 million dollars,
making it the 4th. largest honey producer in the nation.
