It was an interesting read. I do wonder if she did it for the benefits she received... or if she actually thinks she is 'black', or desperately wants to be? I don't feel it is wrong if that is how she feels; if she loves/admires the culture so much that she identifies as such.. I wouldn't hold that against her.

The only thing is that we can never know which it is for sure lol only she knows, and I doubt if it was the negative reason that she'd admit to it at this point.

I considered it myself.

But that position is representative.

She did not need to be black to achieve it.

What is interesting is your comment about identifying with blacks.

People like you, and others here, can understand that.

Sometimes I think we even share guilt about how whites treated them, and in many cases still do.

Socially, that is a huge step.

When we hurt, bc others hurt, we are beginning to recognize our true roots of humanity.

We are related as brothers and sisters.

Always have been.
