In the UK, there is a specific definition that constitutes damage to a windscreen that makes it dangerous.

It is a fairly small area, it is directly in front of the driver, and the size of a large letter box.

In fairness to the policeman, he was possibly charged as he had driven to the repair with a dangerous windscreen.

Both stories are horrible. The one regarding the "Pastor" really infuriated me though! Perhaps we should now refer to a "a man of the cloth" as someone that wants to remove a woman's cloth.
