My husband doesn't wear sandals, but I would date a guy who wears socks underneath his sandals. I've seen enough man feet to know the majority of them have hideous claws for toes and should probably cover their feet when they wear sandals.
LOL you just happened to bump into an expert, Liz.
Unfortunately women's feet are worse than mens. That is regrettably a fact.

It is genetic and body functionality. I am way past believing that it is footwear related. Perhaps wearing high heels, pointy toed uncomfortable shoes from 9-5 every day will have an effect on your feet, but who does that? Most of us find relative comfort in heels, then kick them off as soon as we see a table.
Badly fitting shoes are uncomfortable within 15 minutes, as I said, who would persevere with them for 8 hours standing?
If you look at your feet you will see they splay outwards. This splay is more pronounced in women than men as our pelvis widens during puberty. Thus our feet are more splayed, which makes them function less eficiently and more prone to deform.
It then goes further downhill when we are about to give birth. A hormone softens all our joints to make the birth easier, but it also allows the joints to deform easier, with the added bonus of feet more splayed and suddenly carrying a lot of weight very unnaturally out front.
Just looked at that dress again, it really is quite horrible.
I sometimes look at stuff and just think. Not only did someone design that, but someone else said "WOW , yes, we will but that design, and make loads of them!".
Matching hats, sunglasses, and sandals (or winter slippers) would be us.
I don't wear hats or sunglasses much, but we have been given similar items at the same time for holidays and such.. and every now and then when going for a walk around the neighborhood we wear them at the same time and laugh about it lol

My ex in laws visited once, and when they came downstairs, he had a red teeshirt and blue trousers. She had a red polo shirt the same shade of red, and a blue skirt. I only laughed and called them the fashion twins once, when he was ordered to go back upstairs.
