We all think we are individuals. It's one of the things that we think collectively. You will enjoy Monty Python Life of Brian, it's a large theme of it. That, and poking holes in our own pomposity.

Funny you mention that... Growing up, the kids with spiked hair claimed their "individuality" by wearing punk garb. It's kinda hard to claim uniqueness or individuality when your style has a name.

As teenagers my two daughters were very much individuals.
So much so, their clothes were identical, their music was identical, and most every interest they had was identical.
When we referred to them as 'the twins' they were equally unamused.
It was particularly funny as I and my friends were just the same at that age.
I think one reason why I was a loner at times was that I often didn't fit in with fashions. I go from idea to idea but often not in the same timescale as society. Sometimes I was a trendsetter and sometimes way behind

I did notice the rainbow jumper and the loon pants.

As a teenager all I wore were blue jeans and a dark blue jumper. Nowadays I wear colourful and vibrant, interesting clothes. I was a late developer. I LOVE clothing and fashion now but this was not always the case. My confidence has much increased and I seldom wear jeans these days.
I am a interesting person with an interesting take on clothes.
If we are shopping together, I listen to the so's opinion, and often go by it. Yesterday I was looking at rimless glasses and she said I should check out the half rims. I decided she was right.

It's always nice to have someone else's opinion, especially if they are right.
Clothes and fashion ya ya what ever, i prefer my garb as some know Prussian - German go back 1400 to 1700, and i design my clothes and sew them as they do suit me much better than many clothes that women wear or go for fashion ,most clothes i make you wont find in shop,s multi colours funny as well some people i know ,
ya ya guys who like to dress in womens clothe,s said oh no you cant wear more then 3 colour,s so i said just watch me i dont follow ....the ,,,,,your ..... party line and i make what suits my body fits well and looks nice, well over in Australia i would get lovely comments and asked where you buy your Skirt, they were women of cause ,i said i make my clothes, so some of those guys had no clue at all.,
And in my photo you see is my German style a Kitchen Wench as i am one of those in real life,

I love those styles. It's sad that much of the traditional dress has now gone from society. How boring is it getting now that people all over the world are wearing pretty much the same style of clothing.

Yes-ish. But if that was a german kitchen wench look, then would not all the locals be in that same style of clothing?
