My first crush was on my science teacher at secondary school. He'd been seriously attractive. But I was too young and it would not have been acceptable to have gotten into a relationship with him. I do often think of him and wonder what could've been.
Over to you! Oh: this thread is not entirely serious. Those old crushes can be embarrassing!
But that's the way the world is, James: if you don't look like you deserve that desk, you're not going to get that desk.
None. I remember teachers for their passion to teach. Mrs Duke who made history a lively and interesting subject, Mrs Kominski who loaded us into her camper van and took us to a concert at the Royal Albert Hall so that we could enjoy classical music in its full glory.
Miss Menzies at primary school who just made learning fun you wanted to be at school when she was there and every Friday she sent us home with wishes fir a good weekend and a sweetie to get things off to a good start.
These were women with a love of children a passion for teaching and a personality that inspired students to do their best.

I never had one teacher remotely like these. Mine were all 'jobsworths'.
I don't think I had a crush on any of my teachers but I can say there were definitely a few that were "crushable". lol... In a good looking way that is...

I'm surprised none of you ever had a crush on your teachers! Of course it would've had to remain a crush - the teacher would've lost their job - but crushes on teachers are quite common. Still, I am glad you all had good school lives.

I never had a crush on anyone. My hubby had to chase after me for the entire 3 months before I agreed to go to lunch with him.

A persistant man I see... It sounds that your were lucky he was.
I had a crush on my 5th grade teacher. He was in his early 20s, so I guess that's why it didn't happen more often.. most were women or much older men lol

I spoke to OH about this subject and he reminded me of Mrs Butler.. She was loved dearly by everyone, she was there when we had accidents or felt unwell. In winter she would take our frozen hands between hers and gently rub life back into our numb fingers . She was never cross or moaning she had rosey cheeks and smelled like lavender.
She wasnt a teacher she was a playground attendant, a sick bay lady, a dinner lady and general jill of all trades but she was totally irreplaceable..

You get people like that, and when you do, it's important to hang onto them.

I guess student-teacher crushes are about the allure of maturity: that teacher is older - the student younger - and that teacher seems to know the world and that is attractive. There HAVE been cases when the student-teacher situation has happened and they've ended up staying together, but that is rare. Usually the teacher becomes suspended or even loses their job.
I also think no one really gets over their first love: teacher or not.

Do you mean first love or first crush?
My first love was my ex.
The first time I heard this song it was being played in a shop during my divorce, and I just stopped, tuned in, and started laughing out loud.
Maybe everyone but me.

My first crush was a fellow pupil. I was 8. Francis was his name. He was the son of the headmaster, which stopped me from, well, most everything really.
