First to the south of us then to the west and now it looks like to the north. They still are not too sure how close it will be to us.

After a fabulous weekend that saw far too many people out at nature areas and parks today is grey and a bit wet..
That meant that when we went to the forest this morning there was no one there !

We are getting some gusty winds and bands of rain but that is about it so far.

I love when that happens around my neighborhood. Makes it feel like a large, secluded park lol and the smell of the trees after it has rain... it's nice forest smell with nothing else hindering it like normal.

Well things can change. It looks like that tropical storm won't come back to Florida but now there maybe another one forming i the Caribbean. Not to mention Theta that is going towards the Mediterranean. It's officially a record braking year.

Their sidewalk was under water last I saw.

She skipped us, thankfully, because that paired with the other storm we had would have been even more terrible.

The floods here were said to be a 100-year flood event now... Some people at a camp ground in the state drowned because it filled with water too quickly. 31 had to be rescued I believe. Terrible... We were just barely on the edge of the storm, so we did not get as much as many other areas.

It has been nice here today. I am currently clearing the side of the house. It is where we store our firewood. I am clearing it as we are having a new window fitted. Our living room is rather dark, it will make a huge difference, we hope.

Its soggy underfoot , the rain is that fine stuff that feels like nothing but soaks you before you even notice you're wet and the wind is rushing through the trees and making them sing..

So the choice was to huddle down and moan about it or say stuff it and go paddle on the beach... No prizes for guessing what we did
