It's sunny here again this morning.

The highest recorded temperature for the UK was in July 2022 in Lincolnshire where it reached 40.3℃ (104.5℉).

I hope we don't get many more days like that again in a hurry.

That was fairly close to where I live, if I remember rightly. One of the RAF stations. It's often more a case of the humidity which makes a big difference though. I remember going on holiday in Majorca once and finding it hot. On arriving home I found the country was in the middle of a heatwave and although the temperature wasn't higher than in Majorca it seemed far more extereme because of the higher humidity level.

It's cooler today. The high is only gonna be 92F/33C. Thunderstorms for later are being forecasted. At least all the rain we're getting now is helping with the drought conditions here.

Tomorrow we're under a heat advisory. 109F will be the heat index. Oy!
