I've never even thought of trying magnetic lashes.
I don't know about magentic lashes but I have tried magnetic earrings in the past. They can get pretty painful after more than a couple of hours or so. I am not sure whether I would like something like magnetic lashes close to my eyes.
I've never tried those either. I must be anti magnet...
I am wearing foundation now. It doesn't quite match my skin, though. What do I do? I have two shades. Perhaps I should blend them on the back of my hand and apply it? I do use a proper foundation brush. However, I've been a bit heavy handed with it!
I will keep practising until I get my foundation right.
It's probably not the right time at the moment but some of the larger stores do have experts to help with correct choice for your skin. Obviously they are out to sell but they may well be a great help. Their advice is generally free and you would be under no obligation.
Im not a make up person very often at all. lifestyle and allergies prevent it but.... My daughter and I were out browsing in a cosmetics store a few years ago we were looking at lipsticks and a voice behind us said 'can I offer you ladies advice or tips'? we turned around and were greeted by something that resembled an oompa loompa, a bright orange face smiled at us through geranium pink lipstick and bright violet eyeshadow but the worst thing was the line that ran down the side of her face and just under her chin... We smiled said no thanks and beat a hasty route to the exit where we both dissolved into giggles..
Honestly if they are going to offer advice they should make sure they look half decent first.
My mother wore make-up until the day her dementia got worst, but her caregiver manicured her nails, applied her skin care lotion every morning and night and got a hair dresser to the house to cut her hair every 6 weeks until the day she died. The day she passed away, the nurses at her bedside told me : your mom did not have one single wrinkle on her face. She was 79.

My nana was like that, my aunt used to be a professional hair dresser so she would go to the nursing home where my nana lived in her last years and do her hair and nails. She would give her foot spas too..
The nursing staff called Nana the Queen because they said she got royal treatment from my aunt.
After nan died the staff all told my aunt that nana was so proud of her and never stopped praising her.. My aunt cried because sadly my nana never felt able to say this directly to her ..
Lesson from this is if you love someone tell them so, as often as you can.

I cannot believe it, but I have found my ideal foundation: and I'm wearing it now. I shall also be wearing it every day from now on.
I am wearing Revlon Colorstay 24 Hours Foundation in 110 Ivory. It is for oily/combination skin.
I applied it 10 minutes ago and it melted into my skin. It isn't orange or white and just blends beautifully.
I LOVE my skin: I love using thick face cream at night. I use L'Oreal Age perfect. I also love washing my face with Simple Foaming Facial Wash and Dove beauty bar nightly.
I shall be sticking with this foundation now: it'll be worn every day, until I need a new bottle. Oh: it also has a pump.
I'd be wearing my foundation today, but my face is too sweaty. Never mind: there is still tomorrow.
I used mine today and found that out lol. I regularly use it as it adds to my sun protection. I was bathed in sweat by the time I got home after my walk. I suspect that in the more sheltered sunny areas it was toward, if not over 30 degrees and very humid. Hot for here.
I mostly just use a 2-in-1 powder concealer. I brush it on my face in less than a minute, and I'm done lol if I add eyeliner, then that's just another minute.... if I put on bb cream underneath the powder, then that's also about less than a minute because I just blot it on areas that are more uneven or need more blending.
If I do eyeshadow... that can take little longer if I'm using more than one shade, but that will only add a couple extra minutes really.
I keep things pretty simple and more on the natural side. I'm lazy
my skin tone seems to change depending on my hair tone and time of year but I'm typically fair skinned and think i look best in cooler/neutral tones so the ones i use are Nars sheer glow in gobi, Laura Mercier Lumiere in 1N1, and recently The Ordinary but i forget what shade. it's actually been so long since i've worn any foundation that i forget each of their consistency except that the ordinary one is the most lightweight feeling.
The foundation I use is L'Oreal true match nude hyaluronic tinted serum. I bought it at CVS. It is a miracle worker. It is so light in density that it doesn't do anything but leave the look like it's minimal. I was always going for a minimal look on for my makeup. Thank goodness I found this one. I picked it up after seeing the ads on Facebook. It really doesn't seem to leave the skin looking cakey which people were commenting on. I love it. I think I am going to use it for a long time. So glad to have found the perfect foundation for what I wanted. I am in love with it already.

I use The Ordinary primer. It got good reviews, and it covers well. I was L'Oreal before, or was it Revlon?
What products would you keep for life? Or if you do that already, what did you keep around? I’m asking because I was wondering if it was odd, first of all, to keep buying things. And, second of all, I wanted to gush about my finds!
I bought Dead Sea Minerals Hemp shampoo, and Coconut conditioner. It’s such a good combination. Leaves it shiny, smooth, and soft like a really good set should. I feel like I aced it. I even bought it at Big Lots. So awesome.
I also bought some LA Girls Velvet stick blush. I’ve wanted to use a stick for blush a while now. So cool I saw it at CVS. I’m not sure if I would keep it, but the stick blush is awesome. I have some L’Oreal true match nude. That was the pick of the year! That’s makeup.
I also have some açaí face scrub, seaweed glycolic acid toner, and Jergens face moisturizer. That combo seems to have cleared up my face. It was like magic. I need to use it more.
I find that I latch onto something and use it continuously for several years then just stop and virtually never use it again. I am like that with food as well as cosmetics. Even in some of the things that I do.

I do tend to stick with beauty products that I like, if I think that they suit me. But, i think it is a bit boring of me, and really I ought to be trying different stuff, but then I think 'why'? and the circle rolls around.
I jump around all the time. If I do find a product that I like I will stick with it but at the same time will try other things. I really to have too much makeup thats I never use because of that.
