That is what I think of now when I hear about mass shootings and other cases of violence of person against person. Many among us have become animals and we can't see it until such things happen...

Major difference here is that other animals dont kill for fun (sport) revenge or greed, we are the only ones who do that.

In my teens I used to love walking out at night and often crossed the extensive grounds of a local hospital when it was dark, even almost pitch dark at times. There were cows and horses but I didn't worry about them. Other people were my biggest fear but not many go where I would as they fear more, I think, and I never remember actually meeting anyone. Spooking the animals was an issue, particularly horses, but mostly they were calm.

I feel that it is the oddities that are the thing with me. The last bad experience I had was actually at a farm park where I was stroking a cow and was accidently butted when it raised it's head. I was winded and in pain for an hour or two from a simple movement from a powerful animal.

It had not occured to me that it would be cruel to - potentially - stun a tiger. But of course it IS cruel. I wrote without thinking.

I certainly would not deliberately hurt an animal for my entertainment: especially when they put bears in cages, leave animals emaciated and the evil whatnot.

I DO love animals and feel their safety matters. I have always been good with animals, too: we had two dogs growing up. Today I am in love with cats: especially the white cat Elizabeth. You're gorgeous, Elizabeth!
