Some people so blooming ungrateful and greedy.
We had some building materials over it wasn't much but I offered it on our local Facebook page and said free to anyone who wants to pick it up. Three people replied and said yes I want it but I don't have a car to pick it up ,the other one said she was working ,the other one said he couldn't come until this afternoon.. I told each of them ' look it's in the driveway there is also a notice on it's saying free to takeaway so whoever comes first gets it' ,well apparently this afternoon while I was out two people turned up at roughly the same time and the second guy who turned up obviously missed out so he sent me a really nasty text. Apparently he felt totally entitled and thought that I was being unreasonable for allowing someone else to take the building supplies first.. I've left the group but not before leaving a message saying that thank you and in the future things like this will go straight to the dump giving no-one the chance , his behaviour was just an abuse of someone trying to be generous..but if thats the attitude then I wont bother.

People bah humbug.

I did a thread on this the other day about my laminate flooring. None of them turned up to collect. So I put it on ebay starting at £1. It sold for £17.66. Hopefully they will collect. He has already been in touch.

1. I had a new peach flower toilet seat fitted
2. I had new flooring put in
3. I had a new shower curtain hung up
4. I had a leak repaired
5. I had a new paint job

I do love my bathroom: it's small but is my haven.

Almost finished both of my favourite Josh Groban CDs as I caught up here tonight. Good way to relax at the end of the day. (The end minus the reading portion. Can't miss that!)

The rest of the day wasn't too taxing, just bits of minor cleaning between all the church attendance. I was actually at the local church today (and not just catching up online) in order to do a little library organising - needing to get yet more donated library items out of my bedroom and make some space - and I also wanted to grab a free Bible for someone since we have quite the collection of them on one shelf. Then I got to chat with old friends since I didn't rush off.

I even had time for a phone call later with the younger sister, though we didn't go long because her boy was hyped after going to the movies with her. Undiagnosed ADHD there, in my opinion...

Okay, finishing this last song and then I'll leave the computer. I feel like that needs to be said as "unpair from the computer" or "disengage" maybe. "Deactivate computer mode"? It's so hard to stop using the machine when it's not being sluggish or otherwise frustrating. LOL

Yes, we are investing about 5,000 this will ensure we get top dollar when we sell. There is also a clause in sales here called hidden breakage, any faults, any problems you know about and the seller can hold you responible for two years after the sale date. We are going through this place and replacing or repairing anything that could see us get landed with a hefty builders bill.

That's a very 'fair' law. Not sure if I like it or not. Many faults must be hard to prove....

Incidentally, the house we sold last September is still not lived in, or even touched. They haven't taken the 'sold' sign down either.

All I can see is they have trimmed the hedge.

Hello uta93: I am waiting for my doctor to organize my third booster vaccination. In fact, I have a telephone conversation with my doctor this afternoon. Obviously, I've had my first and second jabs. After the first one I was as sick as a dog: I felt utterly awful. BUT I'd much rather that than getting COVID-19.

I have drunk my caffetterie coffee this morning. I have also eaten my breakfast and put on a load of laundry. I am airing out my apartment, too.

It is my bestie's birthday in a few weeks time, so I have booked a hotel for us, so we can go Tenpin Bowling and have a few drinks to celebrate. I have paid for the hotel, while my friend is paying for drinks and food. I will also be buying her birthday present: which she'll choose for herself.

It'll be just one day at the hotel: we will be catching the morning bus back home early the next day.
