Have my Two COVID-19 Vaccinations Booked

I phoned up today .. mine are booked monday morning at 9.50 and 7 june at 8.45...
Im getting pfizer which Im glad of ..

I have my first dose down so far of Pfizer. The injection was less painful than some of the blood draws I get, but it did feel weird for a bit afterward. I could feel the liquid moving through my arm, and it did tingle a little down to my hand very briefly. Then my lips tingled and became itchy, but it didn't last more than 30 minutes. I felt fine other than that, just the sore/stiff arm that lasted for around 24 hours... then it was barely noticeable after that. My SO only had the sore arm for around 24 hours, too.

Will get my next whenever we can schedule something over the next few weeks or months. We want to go on Fridays in case we get symptoms afterward, that way we don't have to take off from work too many days.

My mom just received hers yesterday. So far neither of my parents got any symptoms (both Pfizer as well).

I got both doses some time ago, 😁 I haven't partied tho.

I'm just waiting for my booster now.

i became fully vaccinated earlier this year but still hermit for the most part and definitely wear a mask as soon as i leave my car/in all buildings, except recently i've stopped masking for outdoor walks about half the time because i social distance and walk in low populated areas. being vaccinated has eased a bunch of my anxiety about getting sick. i was hospitalized with pneumonia as a toddler, had a heart condition as a kid that i've supposedly outgrown, and something has been wrong with my immune system for at least the last couple of years (but no official diagnosis) so i didn't want to tempt fate. I'm okay w dying, just not the suffering part or responsible for transferring it to someone else. i live in an area with a bunch of anti-maskers (and probably anti-vaxxers) despite being in a progressive state.

My attitude is the same as Heather's and Butter's. I still mask up and social distance. So do my office mates. One out of the four of us hasn't been vaccinated, and I don't know what his "problem" is. I can't wait until the J&J booster is approved! It'll bring me greater peace of mind.

Pre-pandemic, hubby and I used to go out at least once a week. During the lockdown, we had a lot of take-out, to our detriment. Now, we almost exclusively cook at home, which is a good thing for us. We've dined almost exclusively outdoors in the summer. We did dine indoors a couple of times to accompany my dad, but I was still nervous about it.

Dr. Sanjay Gupta jokes that we've all come out of this pandemic as chunks, monks, hunks, or drunks. I should change my username to ChunkyMonkey. I'm even less sociable than I was, and I've lost the pandemic weight. I'll always be a chunk to some degree. Not to mention the fact that Chunky Monkey was the first Ben and Jerry pint I ever bought and was my favorite for quite a while.

For the first time in 1.5 years, we're going out to dinner on Saturday to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. Our experience with previous visits is the tables at this restaurant are spread out at a comfortable distance, so we're looking forward to having a wonderful, relaxing dinner in a nice setting.

just got my pfizer booster today. arm hurts. kinda tired. kinda hot.

My son has his appointment for his booster tomorrow.. We have yet to hear what our country is doing regarding boosters first they said over 50's then over 60s and last I heard only those with compromised immune systems.

I am looking forward - for lack of a better phrase - to having my booster jab. I've had both previous vaccinations. They hurt a little and I am glad I've only got one more injection to go.

Flu jab?

My flu jab was the least painless I have ever had. So I told her.

I shall be having my booster jab in mid-January.
